Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

T1 (T69) - Himalayan Birch - Crown lift to 3.0 metres. Description: Good quality specimen tree with high public visibility & amenity. Reason: Multi-stemmed specimen with an asymmetrical crown due to competition with neighbouring tree (since removed). Prescribed works will assist with rebalancing lower crown whilst also improving structural formation and increasing light levels to front of property. Tree works are in accordance with good arboricultural management & BS: 3998 - Tree Works - Recommendations. TG2 (W1) - Group consisting of Cotoneaster, Hornbeam & Beech - Remove. Description: Poor quality specimens with no public visibility & no amenity. Reason: Suppressed group of self-sown trees, significant directional lean towards north, unlikely to reach full maturity, prescribed works will provide room for neighbouring better quality Hornbeam (T3) to fully develop. Works will improve light penetration to the rear of the property. Tree works are in accordance with good arboricultural management. T3 (W1) - Hornbeam - Crown lift to 4.0 metres, removal of major deadwood. Description: Good quality specimen tree with high public visibility & amenity. Reason: Removal of risk associated with major deadwood (exempt). Prescribed works will rebalance lower crown whilst improving light penetration to the rear of the property. Tree works are in accordance with good arboricultural management & BS: 3998 - Tree Works - Recommendations. TG4 (W1) - Western Red Cedar (2x specimens) - Remove. Description: Poor quality specimens with no public visibility & no amenity. Reason: Significant decline in physiological condition, trees have entered into terminal decline; limited life expectancy = moribund. Prescribed works will provide room for neighbouring better quality Hornbeam (T3) to develop. Works will improve light penetration to the rear of the property. Tree works are in accordance with good arboricultural management.
