Oak (T1) - Crown pruning of 2 - 3 m in order to maintain balance of the tree & thinning. This tree also requires pruning away from the neighbours' boundary as acorns are poisoning wildlife in Mr Steed's pond. This tree is also interfering with growth of the adjacent cherry tree. Beech (T2) - Remove to ground level as this tree creates excessive shading within the garden & therefore impacts the growth of other trees & plants. This tree also blocks the client's view of other mature trees within the garden & has shallow roots. Silver Birch (T3) - Remove to ground level due to client's concerns of tree's leaning - neighbour's tree came down during a storm (which was planted at the same time). If this tree was to fall in the direction it leans, then it would fall into bedrooms of the property. This is a great concern to the applicant. The applicant has also advised this tree shows signs of disease, as shown in supporting photos.

T1 Approximately 12 years ago we purchased what we thought was a small bush-like tree, which we now believe is called a false acacia 'Frisia' for a small space between the drive, pathway and hedge (see photograph). This tree is now the size of the house and has damaged the driveway (see photograph). Its roots, marked in red on the plan, are abutting the house and running across and down the driveway. There is evidence that more damage to the driveway is likely as the outline of further potential root damage can be seen (see photograph). During the summer suckers or shoots from the roots appeared in the drive and next to the front wall of the house. We would like to remove this tree as there is not much point in repairing the driveway whilst the tree remains in situ. Any replanting will be in the form of a small bush given the location and as originally intended. The site has an abundance of trees on it. The other marked on the location map are as follows: T2 - Field Maple T3 - Rowan Ash T4 - Cherry Trees to the rear of the house have not been shown.

Two large eucalyptus trees require crown reduction to reduce the risk of falling in wind as they are adjacent to the house. Crown reduction of 5m from the top and a branch from one of the trees.
