The process from here
This application is with Surrey Heath for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About this record
Reading the register
This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that Surrey Heath is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.
Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.

This is an application to carry out the installation of a 10.73 sqm garden office at 1 Woodside Close, where the location of the garden office would fall into the Root Protection Area of a T1 Mature Common Oak Tree (Quercus Robur) located outside the property boundary, under Tree Preservation Order - TPO 06/00. The specific tree is identified in TPO 06/00 as G5 on the reference map. The advice of an independent Aborologist has been sought and as such we provide a Tree Protection Plan with our application along with a method statement from the office supplier Green Retreats which details the screw based system used for the foundations. The Tree Protection Plan shows our commitment to ensure the protection of the tree root system during the installation works of this building. The office building is within the 2.5m height restrictions therefore does not require full planning permission.
