Proposal
Proposed restoration of the site through importing approximately 1.3 million cubic metres of inert materials (predominantly clays and soils from the Construction, Demolition and Excavation waste stream) over a 15 year timeframe. The operations will include a new vehicular access onto the B6317, internal site haul roads, weighbridge, office, welfare facilities, site compound, boundary treatments, lighting, temporary screening bund, infiltration pond and associated infrastructure. The proposed restoration of the site includes grassland, scrub and tree planting to create a range of wildlife habitats and new access routes. The development will include diversions to public right of way Ryton/65/2 across the south of the site. (EIA Development - the planning application has been submitted with an Environmental Statement)
