Proposal
Large conifer (labelled tree) - Requires crown lifting to facilitate access to property and height reduction due to proximity to housing. There is a TPO on the site dating from approx 1981 but based on location we believe it must apply to a tree removed before we acquired the property, and not to this tree; please let us know if you disagree with this assessment. This work will be done at the same time as seasonal hedge trimming to the hedge adjacent. Please treat this as a section 211 notice and we will assume the work can continue if we have not heard from you in 6 weeks. HAR/CA26, TPO 132W.

Tree specific number is T33, Sycamore. The tree is sick. It has lost substantial bark from the bottom 2m (perhaps 3/4's of its diameter). It has not leafed this year and has been slowly getting worse since we moved back into the property in December 2022. It has fungus growing under the bark where it is exposed and the lower branches are dead. We really don't want to loose the tree (it is one of 4 and a feature of this property) but we are advised by tree surgeons that it is likely to break in strong wind. We understand from our property insurance that we have an obligation to remove it. HAR/CA26, TPO 132W.

So, to the rear boundary fence line, growing on the property of *Fern Cliff 18 Mauldeth rd SK4 3NG we have a mixed group of nuisance self seeded trees, pushing at the fence, dipping leaf little and bird poo, and blocking all the light. A mix of small to medium self seeded T1 to T9, Ash, Sycamore and Holly to remove to ground and treat base. Directly behind we have T10 and 11, a larger Ash and Pine which will be reduced by approximately 3 metres and shaped. Stella has had permission from the owner of Fern Cliff, 18 Mauldeth Road SK4 to carry this work out. HARCA21.
