  The tree is a very tall mature Scots Pine tree. Tree Preservation Order (no.15) 1964. Number A1 on the sketch. Ideally we want the tree to be cut down. Because it's so tall we are very worried that it may fall and damage our house. We have applied for this before and been refused. Our previous application number was DC/069815. If we cannot obtain permission for this, we want permission to cut all of the top branches as we don't want the top canopy. This is because the leaves fall off and go everywhere all over our driveway and on the roof. In addition, there are lots of birds and their droppings go on the roof and also in the driveway. This causes a lot of mess and we have to spend a lot of time cleaning it up. We do not have an expert report as of yet but will obtain one if it is necessary.
