One of three of the stems is currently rotten due to disease, however, due to the V-shape union of the limbs, to only remove the rotten limb would cause a weakness in the remainder of the tree due to exposure. I have attached pictures to show the rot/disease and the V-shape union. HAR/CA18.

Conifer - Fell due to encroachment on the Maple tree Maple - Crown reduce Maple by 1-2 meters to maintain size and height. All of the above was also to allow more light into the garden in addition to the reasons outlined. HAR/CA31.
