T1 Hybrid Weeping Willow; Main leader snapped out in high winds (see photograph) This raises concerns over its structural integrity as the wind dynamics has now changed within the canopy resulting in additional wind load .As some of the large limbs overhanging the entrance footpath to Lidl and as its a busy supermarket I think it's prudent to cut the remaining branches back to 1m from the stem to avoid a high risk situation every time high winds are forecast. Pine - removal - tree species is very big for narrow back garden location. Difficult species to crown reduce to control size / maintenance. Concidering the garden has an other established tree and smaller stock we felt the removal was justified if tree was replaced with something smaller. HAR/CA36.
