What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About this record
Reading the register
This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that Stockport is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.
Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.

Proposed work Proposed work to remove T3 from rear of 25 Priestnall Road Reason for proposed work: > T3 has tree has outgrown its environment to the extent that it is beginning to create severe, continuous, and unavoidable nuisance. It is leaning towards and encroaching over the top of neighbour's property (1 Sunnyfield Rd). There is a strong likelihood that it will begin to affect neighbour's property > Given there are multiple trees in a very small vicinity T4 (Holly), T5 (Holly) & T6 (Cherry) - all within a 3.5m radius, by removing T3 the remaining trees (T4, T5 & T6) will have better opportunity to establish and grow. > T3 is a Robinia, it is non-native, fast-growing & prone to brittle wood, structural failure, and invasive root systems. All of attributes render the positioning of this tree as hazardous to neighbouring building. Additionally it posses a split fork (2.3m) from ground and a 2nd (3.6m from ground) adding further risk to additional growth. Removal at this stage would mitigate any issues in the near future. As part of removal of T3 - it is proposed that a further tree will be planted within the boundary of 25 Priestnall Road as a replacement. HAR/CA21.
