These trees have grown very tall and now significantly block natural light from our house and garden for much of the day. We are also increasingly concerned about the potential risk of damage to our property/vehicles or neigbouring properties from falling branches or root spread, particularly during high winds and storms. The Birch and Sycamore in particular are approximately 8m from our property and we feel it is best they are removed completely. The trees do not provide screening or privacy for us or for any of our neighbours ? in fact, several neighbours have commented that they gain no benefit from them and that the height and density are now more of a nuisance than an amenity. If consent is granted, we would be happy to: - Work on the trees using a qualified and insured tree surgeon, and - Consider replanting with more appropriate, lower-growing species that are better suited to a residential garden and less likely to cause damage.
