Works: Trees Small domestic
Read from the description, not a valuation. How we read the register
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Cedars (T1, T2 & T3) - fell because all 3 are over 20m tall and within 10m of house. Very large heavy trees would do much damage if fell during high winds. Crowns raised approx 5 years ago but significant loss of light in front rooms of house. Roots encroaching on house. Boundary wall displaced by 30cm by T1. Also dead branches fall on the pavement and road. Garden will be professionally redesigned and include a selection of specimen trees including Acer, Magnolia and English broadleaf such as Hornbeam. Magnolia (T5) - fell because too close to house, loss of light, and leaning badly due to overshadowing by T1. Conifers (T6, T7, T8) - fell because obscuring light from large Camellia (T11) & Holly (T10). Also interfering with large Wild Cherry tree (T9). Wild Cherry (T9) - may require minor re-shaping when disentangled from T8. Beech (T4) - will not be touched. Alder (T12) - will not be touched. Conifer (T13) - will not be touched. T10 & T11 - referred to above will not be touched. HAR/

The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

Pine - removal - tree species is very big for narrow back garden location. Difficult species to crown reduce to control size / maintenance. Concidering the garden has an other established tree and smaller stock we felt the removal was justified if tree was replaced with something smaller. HAR/CA36.

So, to the rear boundary fence line, growing on the property of *Fern Cliff 18 Mauldeth rd SK4 3NG we have a mixed group of nuisance self seeded trees, pushing at the fence, dipping leaf little and bird poo, and blocking all the light. A mix of small to medium self seeded T1 to T9, Ash, Sycamore and Holly to remove to ground and treat base. Directly behind we have T10 and 11, a larger Ash and Pine which will be reduced by approximately 3 metres and shaped. Stella has had permission from the owner of Fern Cliff, 18 Mauldeth Road SK4 to carry this work out. HARCA21.
