Proposal
Refurbishment of a retail unit at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre (Unit 16-17) to create a new Cycle themed cafe / bar / restaurant and delicatessen. The application is for a temporary 7 year period only. The existing unit upper parts will remain ancillary to the ground floor use (support space for staff plus storage). The formation of two new ground floor level openings through the exterior wall linking to outside space. The erection of a commercial Venlo type glasshouse for use as a 'Wintergarden' for covered outdoor seating and small events / workshops. Siting of a 20' shipping container to assist with serving food to proposed outdoor seating. Covered outdoor cycle parking will also be provided, along with some new galvanised planters to screen the existing parking areas.
