The works comprise two main parts:-a) Temporary removal of footway and carriageway paving; shallow excavation (on average 100mm and NOT exposing existing structure nor existing waterproofing); application of a spray-applied waterproofing membrane to sub-base of carriageway and footways; full reinstatement of all footway and carriageway paving/finishes as existing,b) Partial removal of 1960's/70's render to east elevation of viaduct, affronting no.1 Southwark Bridge Road, followed by cleaning of exposed original brickwork. To include brick repairs and re-pointing of brick joints, as and where necessary.
