Tree Species: Holm Oak (Quercus ilex)- Location: Tree is circled in red on both plan (Ref 1. - 101 Grove Park Holm Oak Removal - Plan) and image (Ref 2. - 101 Grove Park Holm Oak Removal - Image). The tree lies entirely within the boundary of 101 Grove Park rear garden. 101 Grove Park lies within the Camberwell Conservation Area (Ref 3. - 101 Grove Park - Area Map). Description of works: Complete removal of tree (reduction, leaving a 30cm stump). Reason: The tree is too large for the garden and the roots are causing damage to a boundary fence. Tree to be removed and replaced with something more proportionate in size and sympathetic in species with the other garden flora (predominately wild flowers and fruit trees). Replacement: winter-flowering cherry 'Autumnalis Rosea'

Works to tree in a conservation area: T1 - Large Ash tree at rear of garden. Tree has historically had a large limb snap from historic pollard point, which have been identified as being hollow and not structurally sound to be able to hold significant weight of the current growth. Also the neighbours Ash tree in the land to the rear has been pollarded and now the canopy is exposed to additional wind stress. Pollard to historic points.

Causing excessive shading. Reduce canopy to 3m.T3 - Neighbours Sycamore, very rotten at historic pollard points. Dangerous. Section fell to ground level and poison stump.T4 - Medium Beech tree, tree is located at no 63 GP. Tree has been previously reduced as it causes excessive shading to gardens.
