Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening opinion under Regulation 6 of the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017 for the boring of a tunnel under the River Tyne to house electricity transmission cables and associated infrastructure, the construction of tunnel head houses, cable sealing end compounds and overhead line towers, the removal of existing overhead line towers and the modification/removal of overhead lines.
