The process from here
This application is with South Staffordshire for determination. The council publicises it, consults neighbours and technical bodies where required, and weighs the responses against local and national planning policy.
The statutory target is eight weeks for most applications and thirteen for major development, though extensions of time are common. Comments carry most weight while the case is undecided, so check the council portal for the deadline if you want to respond.
About this record
Reading the register
This page mirrors an entry on the statutory planning register that South Staffordshire is required to keep. The published feed for this record does not state which type of application it is, which is common for older entries and for some council systems; the register entry on the council portal will say, alongside the case officer and any consultation dates.
Every planning application follows the same broad path: submission, validation, publicity, then a decision by officers or committee. Our guide to planning application types explains the common types and what each can approve.

TPO No. 137/1994: Populus spp. (Poplar) x 2 and Acer spp. (Sycamore) x 2 - Dismantle and remove. The Poplars have a notable lean towards the building and car park, all 4 trees have historic wounds on the trunks which do show signs of occlusive growth but still with exposed wood and boring insect holes. The trees were previously pollarded in 2018, if being surveyed under BS5837 standards we would categorise them as a C1 being unremarkable with defects and limited aesthetic value. The site is under new ownership and is being fully refurbished. As part of the refurbishment the new owner would like to terrace the steep bank to the rear in order to provide outside seating spaces, the garden will be generally landscaped and they are happy to plant replacement trees of an agreed species as part of the new scheme in mitigation of the trees being removed.
