Tree 1 = Weeping Birch Tree Tree 2 = Maple Tree Weeping Birch (Tree 1) This has become too large for the site, the roots are lifting the paving around it, making it a trip hazard. Roots have also entered the nearby drains, causing problems. Permission is sought to fell the tree, to make safe access to the property and to make space on the driveway for off street parking. (There is a nearby primary school, and parking can be a challenge.) Maple (Tree 2) This tree has also become too big for its location, which is very close to the boundary of No. 5 and No. 7 Vicarage Rd, causing lifting of the paving around it.   Fell an ash tree shown as T1 on the plan and grind out roots. Tree in conservation area but not subject to a TPO. The tree is a self seeded ash that is growing adjacent to the front wall and gate post at Home Farm an its proximity and roots have damaged the wall and gateposts and will do further damage there and the the stone build stables adjacent. I would be happy to plant a replacement tree on my land or elsewhere in the village but not in this precise location for obvious reasons The tree also interferes with power and telecom cables and 2 posts; statutory authority contractors have regularly cut large boughs from the tree in the past making it unsightly and not balanced
