Proposal
The holly tree is located on the garden boundary abutting the fence next to The Croft. It is approximately half way down the garden and clearly visible from the road as branches of the tree overhand the fence. The top of the tree is getting close to overhanging wires. The application is to prune the tree back to previous pruning points. This will take away the risk of the tree interfering with the wires and also stop the tree from being hit by passing vehicles. I have spoken with Tom Cottrell, tree surgeon, about the scope of the works.

About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
