The tree is a sycamore which likely grew from seed when the prior owner had this property. It is located right next to the brick garden wall at the rear of the property, at the bottom of the garden. The tree has grown considerably in the last few years. Unfortunately it is in an inappropriate location for its size, and if left it will destroy the garden wall and is a risk to the outbuilding on the neighbour's property. This request is to completely remove the tree. It is not subject to a TPO. At the base it is less than 20 cm from the wall and at 1.5m the diameter is 35 cm.

We have a willow tree in our back garden that has not been pruned or cut back in the 15 years we have been at our property. In previous storms, large branches have broken and fallen down causing a danger. I have spoken with a tree surgeon who has recommended that the tree should be pollarded, which will allow the tree to regrow and be maintained properly in the future. The tree is located at the bottom of the garden away from the house and is backed by garden's from St. Marks road, so there are no houses that are in close proximity.
