The council has decided this application; the published outcome sits in the record above and the decision notice on the council portal carries the detail, including any conditions.

About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.

Marigold Cottage, High Street, South Moreton, OX11 9AD
The tree is a large twin-stemmed cherry tree which is now visibly dead. Both stems are co-dominant, with visible signs of unidentified bracket fungus and stress burs. Due to the tree's condition, it poses a significant risk, particularly as there is a greenhouse and a neighboring house directly beneath the canopy. It needs to be felled as soon as possible.
