T1 Oak tree to prune away from house back to previous pruning points. On the south eastern side, removing approximately 1-1.5m of regeneration growth to give a clearance of house by 2-2.5m. Prune away from streetlight and back from road to previous pruning points, removing approximately 1-1.5m of regeneration growth. This would leave a canopy spread to the south-east of 7m and to the south and south west of 9m. Reduce the west and north sides of the canopy by 1.5-2m to balance crown and keep the tree in scale with its surroundings. This would leave a canopy spread to the west and north of approximately 10-11m. There will be no significant works to the height of the tree. Selective branch pruning in the upper canopy following reduction of the side canopy to shorten over extended stems by 1-1.5m to balance the crown.

T2 Ash - Reduce the height and spread of the tree by up to 1.5 metres, approximately back to the previous pruning points. Reduce the growth extending towards the house and surrounding shrubs by up to 2 metres to provide additional clearance and address the existing crown imbalance. Reasons for Works – The tree is located in close proximity to the property and has previously been managed in line with the proposed works. The objective is to maintain the tree at an appropriate size for its location while continuing the established management regime.

There are two trees in the front garden Permission is requested to fell both trees. Tree 1 = Weeping Birch Tree Tree 2 = Maple Tree Weeping Birch (Tree 1) This has become too large for the site, the roots are lifting the paving around it, making it a trip hazard. Roots have also entered the nearby drains, causing problems. Permission is sought to fell the tree, to make safe access to the property and to make space on the driveway for off street parking. (There is a nearby primary school, and parking can be a challenge.) Maple (Tree 2) This tree has also become too big for its location, which is very close to the boundary of No. 5 and No. 7 Vicarage Rd, causing lifting of the paving around it. It is also very close to both houses. Permission is sought to fell this tree.
