1. Fell and replace lime tree at front of house. It's only 6.5m from the house. Our neighbours are also complaining to us and are concerned about their boundary wall and foundations. We are an in fill house and believe this is an outlier tree and not part of the planned avenue. Trees 23&4 These are ornamental trees and have just from considerably above ver time. They need to be reduced by 1/3. Tree 5 Fir tree - fell. And replace with something smaller and ornamental. This tree is huge and again has grown to big for a garden of this size. Tree 6 Eucalyptus- reduce by 1/3. Tree 7 Old apple tree- a crown reduction to allow healthy growth. Tree 8 A further fir to be reduced to allow neighbours behind a bit more light. Tree surgeon advised reduce by 50%.

Two Spruce trees Two spruce trees (numbered one and two onthe sketch plan) - neighbours advise they were planted originally following internal use as Christmas trees. Having taken advice from Eldon Tree Surgeons, we propose to remove both Spruce trees to ground level. One has a 15 degree lean. The trees offer little amenity value as they are not visible from the road (55 metres away); they case shade over the garden making it difficult to grow other plants; they are over 12 metres high and will become much higher very quickly; they are very close to the garden wall (0.9 and 0.6 metres away respectively); and they are only about 1.5 metres apart. Also as a non native tree, they do not suit the surroundings. The leaning tree has probably been wind blown few years ago, and has reanchored itself. However, because it is growing so close to the other, if only this one was reoved, it would leave an ugly "stripe" of dead leafless branches on the remaining tree. We would like to plant a small orchard of fruit trees but would consider planting two replacement more appropriate tres - e.g. ash, oak or beech - in a more appropriate part of the garden. Remarks:
