Regarding the two trees that are encroaching onto our listed village hall, I only work in feet and inches I'm afraid and would estimate the thickness of the offending branches (of which there are six) are as follows: 3 are about 2-3 inches in diameter and 3 about 5 inches in diameter. The lane itself, between our fence and the side of the village hall, is 4 ft. wide. I cannot tell you how far the tree surgeon would cut them back because that is a professional decision. The trunk of both the cherry tree and sycamore tree are the height of our fence, i.e. 6 ft, before both split into side branches. It is off these side branches that the smaller branches encroach onto the village hall.
