Planning application
P19/S4313/TPO
Shenley Wood House, Highmoor, RG9 5BQ
Proposal
T1 - Oak - . Remove 2x damaged and snapped limbs. These two limbs are growing over the garden area and have major damage to them. T2 - 1 x Multi stemmed Ash . Section fell. This multi-stemmed ash has already recently had one of the stems fail and it has uncovered decay at the base where the other stems also start from. These are very tall leaning stems and are growing towards the garden area. There is a high chance of these other stems failing so it is best to remove them. T3 - 1 x Cherry - . Section fell. This tree is dead and needs removing before it falls T4 - 1 x Large Mature Oak - . Remove major deadwood and any snapped/hanging limbs in the canopy

What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About trees applications
How this application type works
Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
