Planning application

P19/S3482/TCA

Northdown, Cuxham Road, Watlington, Oxon, OX49 5JW

Decided South Oxfordshire Works to trees in CA

Proposal

1. Birch (Betula pendula) x 2 2. Crack Willow (Salix fragilis) 1. Birch (Betula pendula) x 2: Located in neighbouring garden overhanging northern boundary of 5 Sheldons Piece. See G1 on sketch plan at appendix 2. Lift overhanging canopy to approximate height of house gutter. Head back excessive overhang pruning to suitable secondary growth as close to property boundary as possible whilst maintaining good crown form. The pruning will focus on the larger, more dominant branches, retaining the smaller growth to achieve the reduction whilst maintaining a natural taper on the remaining branches. Crown thin the remaining canopy by approx 15% including the removal of any deadwood. 2. Crack Wilow (Salix fragilis): Located in neighbouring garden overhanging northwest corner of rear garden of 5 Sheldons Piece. See T1 on sketch plan at appendix 2. Head back largest limb overhanging shed and trim back smaller overhanging branches to remove excessive overhang pruning to suitable secondary growth as close to property boundary as possible. All debris to be removed from site. Remarks:

About trees applications

How this application type works

Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
