Planning application

Nuthatch Grange, Checkendon, Oxfordshire, RG8 0SU

Granted South Oxfordshire P18/S4917/TPO Works to TPO

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

TPO is for group of 30 Oak or Ash at front of site. The trees needing work are 5 on the rear boundary of Rooks Nest, the neighbouring property, right at the edge of the TPO area. After seeking advice from ScottScape Tree Surgery due to safety concerns, it is now recommended that one tree should be felled. It is already decaying and has very few branches left so is now almost pole like andmoving hugely in the wind. The others needing attention need slight reduction and dead wooding in the crows as branches weak, dead and crossing causing weights concerns that are a danger. We have already added a new semi mature Oak to this area and will continue to addtrees to maintain the woodland area. The tree surgeon is at the property on Tuesday 13 March if the tree officer would like to met with him.
