About householder applications
Householder applications cover work to an existing house and its garden, such as extensions, lofts and outbuildings, and cannot create a separate dwelling or change what the building is used for. More in our guide to planning application types.

T1 - Cedar A cedar sits on the boundary of our garden and the spread of branches extends over a communal garage block, neighbours gardens on both sides and parking area. Without warning, two branches came down, blocking the path to the car park. A tree surgeon from Edon Tree Surgery has attended and advises the tree is suffering from "lateral branch subsidence". Our concern is that the tree is not healthy and poses a risk of damage to property and those using the path underneath it. Please advise. Ideally, because of the potential for huge damage we would like to see the tree removed and replaced with something more suitable to a domestic environment on which we seek your advice. Remarks:
