Proposal
(T3) Inspection report by Tree Surveys recommends removing eastern stem and reducing crown of western stem. Due to decay also detected in western stem, we are applying for permission to carry out the work as described in the report and also the option to remove both stems if this is a more economical approach (since the western stem will also need removal at some point in the future). T3 Double stemmed Robinia Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Spec: S20 Sweet gum (liqeudambar styraciflua) 10-12cm girth Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R6 Poor health, structural condition of form (delete as appropriate) Reason: R7 Close to building

T2 - Robinia - reduce height by 2.5m-3.0m. Reduce lateral spread to south by 4.0m creating new canopy template. Carry out further decay investigation to ascertain the presence of sound tension buttress to the north prior to remedial works. Tree of Heaven (T3) fell because of evidence of damage to roots/buttress to south with driveway construction; not the most suitable species long term due to the close proximity to houses (given its current size and species characteristics). This tree would be felled together with T4 and T5 (see sketch) and smaller replacement trees would be planted in their place. These would be appropriate chosen given their proximity to other houses.
