T1 - Horse Chestnut T2 - Leyland Cypress T3 & T4 - Fig Trees T5 - Magnolia T6 - Elder T1 - Horse Chestnut - prune to provide 4.5m clearance over the drive and to increase clearance over garage/office roof by selectively reducing limbs over the roof by 1m only. T2 - Leyland Cypress - remove the growth that extends over the driveway gates and gate pillar. T3 & T4 - Fig trees - crown reduce both. Reducing the height and spread of the trees by around 1m and to clear the garages. T5 - Magnolia - crown reduce - reducing the height and spread of the trees by around 1.5m. T6 - Elder - remove the tree. This work is to improve the appearance of the front drive and garden area of the property. The Elder is now over mature and becoming untidy with much dead wood. About trees applications

How this application type works

Tree applications cover work to protected trees: those under a tree preservation order need consent for pruning or felling, and trees in a conservation area need six weeks written notice before work starts. The council assesses the amenity value of the tree and can refuse consent, approve it with conditions, or in conservation areas make a preservation order in response.
