Large Willow on the east bank of the Thames immediately north of Clifton Hampden Bridge. Tree in leaning significantly out over Thames and over the carriageway, blocking access for maintenance works currently underway. There is also some concern that the tree may fall in the coming years, Partially blocking the Thames and potentially damaging the bridge. Tree is in land owned by the applicant. Tree is currently being reviewed for bats and nesting birds. Proposal is to coppice all limbs to the stump. We would like to do this as soon as possible to limit impact to ongoing maintenance works.
