T1 & T2 - Ash T3 - Willow T4 - Sycamore T5 - Maple T6 - Sycamore T7 - Evergreens T1 & T2 - Ash trees - these are self sown trees of some age, but originally grew out of a hedge line. No. 1 has a dual trunk. Both trees have been subject to application before removal. This was granted but not acted upon and is assumed to have elapsed. The trees are apt to shed branches on 22 The Goggs and its adjacent car port area. Both are now completely dominating the property and prevent reasonable work to the roof and tiling so as to ensure the good security of the property from weather. There is a serious concern that prevailing SW winds may soon lead to the toppling of all or a substantial part of this tree. It is suggested that the trees be felled to ground level. The applicants would be open to suggestion for replacement (in an adjacent position) of a suitable species for a single replacement. T3 - Willow - this smaller tree should remain but should be lopped in order to give an opportunity for shaping the crown. The tree has been subject to wind damage in the past, but appears sustainable. T4 - Sycamore - again this tree (with others in this group) was self-sown. It is proposed for removal. There is a dead birch tree (5) that will be removed during operations. T5 - Maple - this tree will be removed. T6 - Sycamore - this tree has now become fully dominant in both the gardens (no. 12 & 22) and its entire removal to ground level is proposed. It is ill-shapen and not recoverable in this regard. It has obscured large areas are otherwise productive growing area (especially to No.22 The Goggs) it obscures light to No.12 and again its tendency to drop branches aleady affects small outbuildings. There is no proposal to replace this tree or No.4 above T7 - Evergreens - A dead fir tree requires removal from the far end of No.22. This would be undertaken in co-operation with the telephone service (as would all works that may be affected by overhead wiring). The small evergreen beneath this dead specimen would be encouraged. The adjacent apple tree would be retained and its future better guaranteed through the work to the area. Remarks:
