About householder applications
Householder applications cover work to an existing house and its garden, such as extensions, lofts and outbuildings, and cannot create a separate dwelling or change what the building is used for. More in our guide to planning application types.

Bay Tree, Old Gardens, Whitchurch on Thames, Oxon, RG8 7EH
T1 - Birch T2 - Beech T3 - Cherry T1 - Birch - reduce the height and thin branches. This is one of a pair of trees planted in 1976. The other tree blew down four years ago, lodging in the beech tree. This tree is now about 60 ft high and whips whenever there is a high wind. We would like to reduce the height by 20% and remove some internal small branches to allow the wind to blow through the tree. A fungus (Boletus) is present near the base. T2 - Beech - reduce height and lateral spread. Thin to allow more wind penetration. This three stemmed tree is now 70 ft high and has spread sideways to touch the house roof on the south side. We would like to reduce the height by 15% and the lateral spread to remove the branches from the house roof. Again it might be preferable to remove some thin internal branches to allow wind penetration. This tree is only one foot from the wall of Whitchurch House. T3 - Cherry - remove to stop growth into neighbours airspace. This tree is at least 50 ft tall and has branches on the Old Barn roof. The trunk is only three feet from the timber cladding on the Old Barn. This tree has been badly pruned at some time and needs attention. We would be happy to see it removed. Remarks:
