T1 - Scholars Tree (sophora) T1 - Scholars Tree (sophora) located on front lawn appeared to be dying. You suggested that I wait a further year to see if it dies back more. This it has done and in consultation with Mr Martin Drew it is clear that it is now dangerously dead. It stands close to Watery Lane so if it were to fall that way in a gale it might cause serious damage to persons or property using the lane as well as damage to my outbuildings. Accordingly I fear it must be felled urgently for safety reasons. We will be sorry to see it go. Remarks:
