Proposal
T1 - Horse Chestnut - fell to ground level. The main trunk of the tree contains a large area of decay (see photo) which presents a significant risk of failure. The tree is located close to No.5 and the drive of the neighbouring property, any failure is likely to cause damage to property and possibly cause harm to residents. There are bleeding lesions on the main stem and the tree is showing poor signs of health. Given the defect highlighted above and poor health of this tree it is quite clear the risk of failure and likely damage to private property this would cause out ways the public amenity provided by this tree. T2 Oak - prune to give minimum 2m clearance to roof, this will be achieved by pruning back to suitable growth points (see photos). Reduce long lateral extending towards Quarry Lane (see photo). Reasons: Reduce risk of failure of long limb. To contain spread of tree, improve visual shape of tree, to stop damage to property. The above works will have very little effect on the health and visual amenity of this tree. T2 Oak Spec: S8 Prune back to suitable secondary branches to ensure m clearance from building. Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R2 To ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage Spec: S15 Fell tree to ground level. Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R4 To address potential hazard Spec: S19 Please add the following at the end of all the aprroved works: All pruning cuts must be made at bra Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R2 To ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage
