Proposal

H1 - Laurel Hedge; on front of property, to reduce to a final height of 2,.2m or height of adjacent neighbours hedge, and reduce road side back by 0.5m or behind 30mph sign. Trim property side as well. H2 - Laurel hedge; on priory copse, to reduce back to chain link fence from front of property down to boundary/end of garden. Removing any dead trees and sections of hedge. G1 - Yew x 2 and Lime x 1; adjacent to gate on right hand side, to reduce group to a final height of 3m on Yews and Lime to reduce epicormic growth to 3m. T1-4 Old Pollarded Limes; trees are on Blounts Court Rd side of property, to repollard by reducing back to old pollard points. T5 - Silver Birch; in rear of right hand side is in decline. To fell tree to near ground level and treat resultant stump to deter regeneration. G2 - Bays and Laurels; adjacent to Birch to reduce to a height of apex on summerhouse roof. T6 - Yew tree; left hand side of rear, to reduce by 3m all round and reshape. H3 - Laurel hedge; in rear on bottom boundary, to remove all regrowth on top and trim garden side only. H4 - Laurel/Conifer; adjacent to above screening compost, to reduce to same height as H3 and trim garden side only to tidy up. G2 The group consisting of 7 Lime, 6 Lawson Cypress, 1 Birch, 2 Yew, 2 Beech Spec: S1 Reduce crown by a maximum of n% and reshape Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R2 To ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage Spec: S13 Re-pollard to previous pollard points, retaining knuckle. This tree has had cobra bracing installed and has previously had a crown reduction undertaken due to the applicants concerns over its safety with its close proximity to their own and neighbouring properties and the high volume of pedestrians who walk past the house particularly during the school pick up and drop off timings. The applicant wishes to reduce the height of the tree by 4 metres, to a point just above the previous pruning points and the lateral branches by up to 1 metre. T2, T3 and T4: Birch: Applicant wishes to carry out a 2m crown reduction of all 3 trees. These trees were planted by the applicant on the basis that they would be maintained as small trees owing to the size of space in this area of the garden and the proximity of buildings.

    There are two trees in the front garden Permission is requested to fell both trees. Tree 1 = Weeping Birch Tree Tree 2 = Maple Tree Weeping Birch (Tree 1) This has become too large for the site, the roots are lifting the paving around it, making it a trip hazard. Roots have also entered the nearby drains, causing problems. Permission is sought to fell the tree, to make safe access to the property and to make space on the driveway for off street parking. (There is a nearby primary school, and parking can be a challenge.) Maple (Tree 2) This tree has also become too big for its location, which is very close to the boundary of No. 5 and No. 7 Vicarage Rd, causing lifting of the paving around it. It is also very close to both houses. Permission is sought to fell this tree.
