  Scots Pine Scots Pine to remove sections of major deadwood greater than 15mm in diameter and raise the canopy to approximately 3.5m. To reduce the crown by 1-1.25m. There is an area of dysfunction around the crown break which looks like a significant included union. The tree survey prior to planning picked up on this dysfunction and recommended a 50% reduction. My sense is a 10-15% reduction would more than mitigate against any adverse wind loading and retain the tree in a suitable scale and with enough foliar material to sustain the tree for many years. Tree 1 = Weeping Birch Tree Tree 2 = Maple Tree Weeping Birch (Tree 1) This has become too large for the site, the roots are lifting the paving around it, making it a trip hazard. Roots have also entered the nearby drains, causing problems. Permission is sought to fell the tree, to make safe access to the property and to make space on the driveway for off street parking. (There is a nearby primary school, and parking can be a challenge.) Maple (Tree 2) This tree has also become too big for its location, which is very close to the boundary of No. 5 and No. 7 Vicarage Rd, causing lifting of the paving around it.
