  Giant Sequoia - Removal due to canopy decline, the tree is location within close proximity ICT/art block. As the tree is located at the entrance/exit of the school there is a very high risk of danger from limb break outs. Children, staff and visitors use the patio area under the tree daily to get to the ICT/art block and enter/leave school. The tree appears to be in rapid decline, we have attached photographs of the tree in October 2019 and September 2021. The tree is the last remaining tree in the raised bed, with suspected honey fungus. Work - Fell to ground level.

  2. Lime rear garden. Major physiological dysfunction throughout crown, with areas of bark de lamination. Large portions of central leaders have died off. Some tar like exudations visible from ground level (bleeding cankers), which indicate a disfunction with the vascular system & response to bacterial infection that has potentially led to hydraulic disfunction & subsequent death of the stem. Area of cambia disfunction with bark de lamination. Further areas of dysfunctional bark with response wood formation. Evidence of historic limb/stem loss, picture 4 @ approximately 10m on central leader (Not visible in picture but very evident onsite visit). Woodpecker holes and decayed areas visible from ground level. a. Reduce height by approximately 8 meters. b. Reduce lateral branch frame work to stabilise retaining as much growth to aid with new crown restructuring formation. c. Further aerial inspection at time of works to further assess impact on potential future stability.
