Works: Trees
Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
We wish to pollard 2 lime trees. One is on the corner of No.5 Lime Grove. It is next to the open car parking area. Small branches drop onto parked cars in the wind. This tree is on our property. The second tree is beyond No.7 and No.8 Lime Grove at the front of the houses. This tree has branches that are close to overhead power cable and phone lines over the drive at No.5. This tree also drops branches on the owners of No.7 and No.8 (elderly couple at No.7 and young children at No.8). We would like permission to trim the branches and pollard the trees to keep them healthy and at a reasonable size so close to the houses, paths and parked cars. The owerns of No.8 and No.8 are aware and in agreement with this application. G1 The group comprising of 20 Lime trees Spec: S13 Re-pollard to previous pollard points, retaining knuckle. Reason: R1 Sound arboricultural management Reason: R2 To ensure future compatibility with site, surroundings and usage Reason: R7 Close to building, services, road or public highway (delete as appropriate)

T1: Birch: Twin stemmed Birch with a crown break a couple of feet above ground level. This tree has had cobra bracing installed and has previously had a crown reduction undertaken due to the applicants concerns over its safety with its close proximity to their own and neighbouring properties and the high volume of pedestrians who walk past the house particularly during the school pick up and drop off timings. The applicant wishes to reduce the height of the tree by 4 metres, to a point just above the previous pruning points and the lateral branches by up to 1 metre. T2, T3 and T4: Birch: Applicant wishes to carry out a 2m crown reduction of all 3 trees. These trees were planted by the applicant on the basis that they would be maintained as small trees owing to the size of space in this area of the garden and the proximity of buildings.

7 Vicarage Road Henley-on-thames RG9 1HF
There are two trees in the front garden Permission is requested to fell both trees. Tree 1 = Weeping Birch Tree Tree 2 = Maple Tree Weeping Birch (Tree 1) This has become too large for the site, the roots are lifting the paving around it, making it a trip hazard. Roots have also entered the nearby drains, causing problems. Permission is sought to fell the tree, to make safe access to the property and to make space on the driveway for off street parking. (There is a nearby primary school, and parking can be a challenge.) Maple (Tree 2) This tree has also become too big for its location, which is very close to the boundary of No. 5 and No. 7 Vicarage Rd, causing lifting of the paving around it. It is also very close to both houses. Permission is sought to fell this tree.
