Works: Trees
Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.
Proposal
Various Remove dead and dying sections of hedge thought to be infected with Honey fungus and grind out roots to prevent further spread. Remove other small dead trees on site and grind roots. Fell section of ivy covered trees (one has collapsed) and grind roots. Grind out old stumps to prevent Honey Fungus. Fell group of over mature Plum trees near to the neighbour's pavillion/stable block/wall/swimming pool. Potential for future failures with decay in main branch forks. Grind stumps. Replacement plant removed hedge sections with double row of mixed Hawthorn and Buckthorn 40-60cm whips. Over mature Weeping Ash does have an inonotus hispidus bracket indicating branch heartwood decay with wood pecker holes and other cavities. This tree appears to have been reduced recently so I am inclined to retain this as a feature tree of high visual amenity. There is also a mature Horse Chestnut to the front, recently competently and sensitively reduced, probably due to the bleeding canker issue so no furthe works required within the next 5 years. T1: Birch: Twin stemmed Birch with a crown break a couple of feet above ground level. This tree has had cobra bracing installed and has previously had a crown reduction undertaken due to the applicants concerns over its safety with its close proximity to their own and neighbouring properties and the high volume of pedestrians who walk past the house particularly during the school pick up and drop off timings. The applicant wishes to reduce the height of the tree by 4 metres, to a point just above the previous pruning points and the lateral branches by up to 1 metre. T2, T3 and T4: Birch: Applicant wishes to carry out a 2m crown reduction of all 3 trees. These trees were planted by the applicant on the basis that they would be maintained as small trees owing to the size of space in this area of the garden and the proximity of buildings.

7 Vicarage Road Henley-on-thames RG9 1HF
There are two trees in the front garden Permission is requested to fell both trees. Tree 1 = Weeping Birch Tree Tree 2 = Maple Tree Weeping Birch (Tree 1) This has become too large for the site, the roots are lifting the paving around it, making it a trip hazard. Roots have also entered the nearby drains, causing problems. Permission is sought to fell the tree, to make safe access to the property and to make space on the driveway for off street parking. (There is a nearby primary school, and parking can be a challenge.) Maple (Tree 2) This tree has also become too big for its location, which is very close to the boundary of No. 5 and No. 7 Vicarage Rd, causing lifting of the paving around it. It is also very close to both houses. Permission is sought to fell this tree.
