Proposal
T1 - Mature Cherry tree The Visual Tree Assessment and Climbing Inspection revealed signs of significant decay damage to a section of one of the two secondary stems that support the canopy of this tree. The secondary stem inspected and tested was the more northerly of the two secondary stems. Testing was by means of a Resistograph Microdrill and was carried out at two points, approximately 4m above ground level and 3m above ground level. The noted decay at 4m above ground level proved not to be significant at this time. The noted decay at 3m above ground level revealed that the extent of the decay was in excess of acceptable limits. The diameter of the secondary stem at the point of testing was measured as 400mm. The test drilling revealed approximately 90mm of relatively sound wood into 300mm of severely decayed wood. The noted decay is outside of acceptable limits and the supported canopy sections are potentially unstable during periods of severe weather. The remaining sections of canopy supported by the other secondary stem form less than 50% of the total canopy area of this tree and if the decayed secondary stem was removed the remaining tree sections would be completely one sided and out of balance and unsightly. Recommendation The complete tree be removed and a replacement planted further away from the existing trees and buildings. To fell to ground level and remove all resultant debris from site. To grind out the main root of the above tree to a depth of approximately 200mm below ground level and back fill the void with grindings. Remarks:

T1 - Plane Tree T1 - Plane Tree - to thin out the central live growth by 15% removing crossing, rubbing and duplicating growth. To raise the canopy to 4m by removing weeping and growth and minor laterals only. To lightly reduce the section of canopy overhanging the adjacent gardens by a further 2m making final cuts to suitable points of secondary live growth. No final cuts to be greater than 75mm in diameter. Remarks:

T1 - Copper Beech - Reduce branches by approximately 2 metres focusing mainly on lateral branches rather than the top. Lift canopy to provide statutory clearance over the road and clear from service cables. T2 - Tulip Tree - Reduce by approximately 3 metres to restore balance within the crown due to previous limb failure leaving the tree unbalanced. T3 - Horse Chestnut - Reduce by approximately 3 to 4 metres, leaving a natural flowing crown outline and remove major deadwood. T4 - To fell and remove 1 x Yew tree and install eco plugs to prevent re-growth.

T1 Copper Beech. Low canopy over road and footpath. To raise canopy to statutory clearances, (5.2m over road, 2.5m over footpath). To remove deadwood greater than 60mm over road and footpath, for safety purposes, minimising any chance for larger falling deadwood in windy conditions.

Ash (T2 of TPO 09/2019) - Reduce back crown over single storey block D4 by a maximum of 4m at its widest point (work mainly relates to over extended limbs over roof). Reduce back low branches over the roof to create 3m clearance. Cutback branches from front of the adjacent building (D6) to create 2-3m clearance. To help balance the crown, reduce remaining crown by approx. 2m. To avoid altering the balance of the tree as a whole, the crown of the tree should be reduced in proportion to its original shape. All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
