Works: Trees
Decided. The decision notice on the council portal carries the outcome in full, including any conditions.
Proposal
T1 - Leylandii T2 - Thuja T3 - Acer T4 - Mountain Ash We attach four photographs showing trees on our property, which is Rose Glen, Mill Street, Stanton St John, OX33 1HQ. We are in the Stanton St John Conservation Area, and wish to have some work done on various tres on our property. The first picture shows conifers in the back garden, specifically a yellow conifer (probably leylandii) between a large Thuja and a Metasquoia glyptostroboides. We wish to remove this yellow tree and slightly crown lift the Thuja. The remaining pictures show an Acer and a Mountain Ash in the front garden, which have grown considerably this season and are beginning to interfere with both the power cable and the BT telephone line. We need to reduce both of these, but keep the shape as best as possible. Remarks:

T1 - Copper Beech - Reduce branches by approximately 2 metres focusing mainly on lateral branches rather than the top. Lift canopy to provide statutory clearance over the road and clear from service cables. T2 - Tulip Tree - Reduce by approximately 3 metres to restore balance within the crown due to previous limb failure leaving the tree unbalanced. T3 - Horse Chestnut - Reduce by approximately 3 to 4 metres, leaving a natural flowing crown outline and remove major deadwood. T4 - To fell and remove 1 x Yew tree and install eco plugs to prevent re-growth.

T1 Copper Beech. Low canopy over road and footpath. To raise canopy to statutory clearances, (5.2m over road, 2.5m over footpath). To remove deadwood greater than 60mm over road and footpath, for safety purposes, minimising any chance for larger falling deadwood in windy conditions.

Ash (T2 of TPO 09/2019) - Reduce back crown over single storey block D4 by a maximum of 4m at its widest point (work mainly relates to over extended limbs over roof). Reduce back low branches over the roof to create 3m clearance. Cutback branches from front of the adjacent building (D6) to create 2-3m clearance. To help balance the crown, reduce remaining crown by approx. 2m. To avoid altering the balance of the tree as a whole, the crown of the tree should be reduced in proportion to its original shape. All pruning cuts must be made at branch junctions, leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form.
