As advised by tree surgeon, 2 mature willow trees show evidence of previous pollarding and one of trunk splitting. The trees have not received any work in at least 5 years, and the recommendation is to pollard both to prevent further risk of splitting, and that this should be continued at approximately 5 year intervals. All work will be undertake by qualified tree surgeon.

Variation of condition 3 on planning application P92/N0140. This is a change or variant to the original planning back in 1992/1993 when it stated that windows facing north could not be opened. We are now re-opening the centre after Covid lockdown and are keen to abide by the government guidelines in respect of room ventilation.

Hedge formed of leylandii/holly/laurel forming the northern boundary of 10a Rotherfield Road. Removal of the hedge down to ground level. Reason - boundary to change. New Yew or Holly hedge to be planted on new boundary. The hedge was established in the 1970s/80s and is in the 2010 tree report - SODC planning reference P10/E0859. The plan accompanying this application is taken from that report. T27 - Sweet Chestnut - remove epicormic growth approximately up to the level of the first substantial mature branch.

FIVE DAY NOTICE We have a large Willow tree in front garden, circa 40-45 feet high. During the high winds of weekend (30/31st Oct) a large branch broke and fell to the ground. It was of considerable size and if a person was underneath would have been fatal. There is an additional branch that has also snapped but not fallen, this needs to be addressed quickly. This application is to reduce the height but approximately 10feet to remove the weight bearing large branches that are now being impacted in high wind. This will make the area much safer. Photos of the tree height and branch that fell are attached to this application. All work will be under guidance of a professional tree surgeon and completed by them.

FIVE DAY NOTICE Tree has become uprooted and become hung adjoining a road. The tree is located in Long Wittenham at the property of Long Wall which is in a conservation area. As the tree is dangerous and risk to the highway I am going to resolve and deal with the risk.
