What a grant of permission means
The process from here
Permission has been granted, usually subject to conditions listed on the decision notice, some of which must be discharged before work starts. The decision notice on the council portal sets out exactly what was approved.
Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses. Neighbours cannot appeal a grant; challenging one means judicial review of how the decision was made, within tight time limits.
About amendments applications
How this application type works
An amendment application changes a permission that already exists. Non-material amendments cover small adjustments with no wider effect, while minor material amendments, usually made by varying a condition, allow modest design changes without a fresh application. Anything beyond that needs a new permission, so the scope here is deliberately narrow.

T1 - Apple Tree (adjacent to northern boundary of the rear garden) - Fell Reason - obstructs the use of the grass and the growth of other plants. T2 - Conifer Tree (southeast corner of rear garden) - Fell Reason - It limits space and use of the ground surrounding it, has destroyed the adjacent shed roof, and causes garden to be overly shaded during the day.

6 Temple Close Duxford CB22 4PX
Tree A - is on the border with the neighbouring property. This is suspected as dead, is overgrown and is inhibiting the growth of other plants in the garden so is planned to be removed Tree B - is further inside the garden. This tree has grown at a very wide angle (i.e. not straight) and is therefore taking up a very large amount of space in the garden and preventing us from growing other plants. We are therefore proposing to remove this tree also. Tree C - is on the right hand side of the diagram. This is healthy and growing straight but now has a number of very low branches. The proposed work is therefore to prune these lower branches to allow us to walk/sit underneath the tree.
