Extension and conversion of existing outbuilding to create a single storey studio/home office. Planning Application 24/00720/HFUL was made in 2024 and approved for conversion of the shed to a studio. Since approval, careful consideration has been given to the studio design so that it will better meet my needs and enhance sustainability. In particular, it was clear slightly more usable storage and exercise space was needed to improve practicality, accessibility and natural light, and make office / exercise use more practical with tea / coffee and ablutions facilities. The change will also enhance potential solar generation capacity on the roof. Council advice was that a full new planning application was needed because of the proposed change to the studio footprint. Full details of the application are provided in the accompanying Design & Access Statement.
