Planning application

17 High Green Great Shelford Cambridgeshire CB22 5EG

Granted South Cambridgeshire 22/1339/TTPO Works to TPO trees

Works: Trees

Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.

Proposal

1) Ash - Fell and replace - please see accompanying letter. This tree has been in decline for many years and has various structural issues as one would expect for an ash in this stage of its life. Two physiologically healthy branches have failed and dropped onto the pavement this year because they were structurally unsound. To reduce the chance of further branch drop on this busy stretch of road the tree's canopy would need a significant reduction which we don't feel can be done without ruining its visual amenity and increasing the rate of decay in its main stem. Given the high number of targets under it we ask permission to fell it and replace it with another tree.
