Proposal

Application to carry out Tree Surgery Works to No. 1 Tree as shown within the South Somerset District Council (RIMP 1) 1994 Tree Preservation Order. T1 London plane, Replicate historical reduction on Mature London Plane as follow: Remove 3.5 metres of incremental radial growth of the overall canopy spread and reduce apical regrowth by 4 metres from the outer branch tips. Lift lower canopy to create approx. 4 metres of height clearance by removing regrowth from previous crown lifting pruning. The proposed work is to implemented a regimental 6-7 years cyclical pruning to maintain tree size and form by replicate pruning on young regrowth to limit size of cuts therefore reduce as low as possible the collateral impact on the tree's physiological and structural health in compliance with Section 7 of BS 3998 tree pruning guidelines.
