Permission granted. Work must normally begin within three years of the decision or the permission lapses.
Proposal
Robinia (2) -cut back to pollarding points established in 2017 (Consent 2115_001 dated 17 August 2017). Based on previous experience and advice of tree surgeon this request is to forestall instability of new growth of this fast-growing tree. Anchor points of new growth, which has doubled the height of the tree, are prone to water and ice ingress in winter. Advice is to pollard the tree after the current growing season so that its value as a green screen will rapidly recover next year. The Ash tree (x) suggested as a long term replacement in the 2017 application is thriving and would benefit from an early growing start out of the shade of the Robinia. Ash (6): general tidy - remove lower growth up to a height of 2.5 metres to reduce shading, trim back to level of fence on South side, trim (max 10%) to balance on North side.
