Proposal
TPO 1/1993 T1 Ash - Dead wood and reduce weight off lower limbs. Reasons: Safety concerns. There is damage to the lower limbs that look as though they are struggling to heal over. And there is a fair bit of dead wood in the tree and it is situated over a well-used orchard. Also there is a very big cavity at the base of the tree that is attempting to heal. The Ash needs dead wooding as the dead branches falling are large and dangerous and could hurt someone and damage my garage roof. TPO 7/2008 T1 & T2 - Crown lift two Copper Beeches. No major limbs to be removed just some minor lower laterals as shown on pictures. I would imagine no more than a 3 metre crown lift with one exception being around the telephone line. Nothing out of the height. At a push I would say 15 minor laterals most being no more than an inch in diameter and one or two of around max 3 inch diameter. Works to be undertaken as shown in the attached photos. Reasons: To allow light into the orchard, and the borders in the front garden so other trees have a chance to grow. Also remove the branches that are hanging over the phone line as we have 2 very vulnerable people in the house and if it was to snap in a strong gale we would have no phone or internet connection. G1 there are two Maples at either end of this group I would like to treat individually. The maple by the house needs a slight crown raise and thinning out and the maple on the front of the property needs a crown lift and maybe a limb removing for balance. Reasons: The maple by the house is encroaching on the outbuilding and a slight crown raise would raise it above the building but also allow some light to get to the other shrubs in the border. The maple at the front of the property overhangs a public footpath and is starting to cause problems to pedestrians. The 3 Hollies in this group need old cuts cleaning. Reasons: Improve appearance.
