Timbers Chase Ruxbury Road Chertsey Surrey KT16 9NJ
80% historically approved
There is a single, protected Oak tree situated between the boundary of Timbers Chase and South Lodge on Ruxbury Road, Chertsey. This tree has not had any works done for over a decade. We requested the TPO back in 2018 to protect the tree for the future. In this time the tree has grown both in height and spread. Permission requested to lift and reduce the crown. Lifting the crown by approximately 2m on one side as its now grown down and touching cars on the driveway. Reducing the crown by max 2.5m to remove the branches from the phone lines and internet cables at both properties. A RBC approved arborist has already quoted on the works and advised what needs doing. He has also advised that the tree should be monitored more frequently and not left so long. Advised every 5/7 years. The main reason for works is that tree care is long overdue and some branches now low enough to touch the cars. Especially in adverse weather. The phone/internet cables are also now covered by branches and in adverse weather regular pull on the connections at roof level. The arborist has advised that the tree is healthy and has minimal dead wood to remove.
