Planning application

Disused Cemetery Church Road Horley Surrey

Awaiting decision Reigate and Banstead 26/01449/CAN

Works: Trees

Still open. Anyone can comment while the consultation period runs, and comments go to the council rather than to us.

Proposal

The tree opposite numbers 39 and 43 is the most critical , requiring several branches to be cut back to achieve the minimum 5.4m headroom Surrey Highway's require over the width of Church Road used by vehicles. Tree 2 is consider to be less critical. We are not sure what type of trees both are but they are easily identifiable as being the ones concerned. The intention is to cut back to the main trunk those 2 or 3 branches both trees that are infringing the 5.4m headroom zone. Thus, the majority of the branches, which are at a much higher level, will not be touched at this time. The length of the branches to be removed is of the order of up to about 5m in order to avoid reoccurrence of the same problem within a year or so.
